Random Food For Thought - Perfect Food Restaurant Review App

I had many food thoughts about crowd based review websites recently. Here they are:

Food Ratings

Restaurants should be rated on dishes and not on the restaurant. Same can be said for service. If you had seen the movie "Burnt", the film places a heavy emphasis on service as a must have criteria for having a good Michelin rating. Have you seen any Michelin star restaurants with poor services? If you do, you can let me know.

A restaurant may have 10-50 dishes on the menu. An average person wouldn't have an opportunity to try every dish in the restaurant unless they eat out frequently at the same place. If you really wanted to rate a restaurant, you can by having a weighted average of the dishes combined with a portion of the service rating. With this system, you could identify what dish is very popular and good at a certain restaurant without having to filter out the text...

Lastly, the reviews should come directly from paying customers. I have seen certain food bloggers and food photographers update crowd based review websites such as Yelp and Zomato with their promotional relation (PR) staged events with full attentive staff. The services and food received at such events may not be typical occurrences that would be confronted by paying customers.

Let me know if you agree with me or not.
