OktoberFEAST 2016 @ Markham Museum

12:06:00 PM

On October 22, 2016, OktoberFEAST 2016 was hosted at Markham Museum. The event was filled with food and drink vendors to help raise funds to fight against cancer for the Canadian Cancer Society.

Special thanks to Canadian Cancer Society for inviting to help promote the event in exchange for free admission to the event.  The event operated from 6pm into the night. It was actually very cold with some strong wind. I noticed some of the vendors has moved indoor. There were a few food trucks (Mami's Indian Cuisine, Wickedly Sinful and Wafel Bar) in front of the main building event with the addition of the photo booth van. Behind the Wafel Bar truck, there was an area setup for live axe throwing games!

Inside the main building, there were various local brewers including the popular Brickwords Cider and Steam Whistle beer (You can find the Steam Whistle brewer downtown near the Rogers Centre.)  For non alcohol drinkers, there was hot cider available.  In addition, there were indoor games, gifts for raffle event and live music (Hey Otis! Band). I managed to find the North Poke vendor at the end of the building. Judging by the lines, this was the most popular food vendor.

Brickworks Cider !

They had taken shelter inside. This is one of the newer poke stores to open in downtown Toronto

I want to thank the Canadian Cancer Society for inviting me to the event and allowing me to help promote the event. Even though I couldn't stay too long, it looked like people were having a great time. I wish them future success for the years to come.
