Eating @ Morals Village

This was an old visit from 2015. My SO (significant other) had heard of this brand new hotpot restaurant called Morals Village in Markham and wanted to try it out. When she offered the chance, I did not  disagree with her :)

Normally, it was rare for us to do "all you can eat" style for dinner.

This visit was around the winter season and there were huge line ups going into this hot pot restaurant. I would suggest getting reservations if you can. We waited probably for 30 minutes for a 2 seat table. There was ample parking in this plaza (with the T&T supermarket)

The decor was the first thing that you notice when you walk in and it's gorgeous.  The restaurant looked very modern and expensive.

Our server looked annoyed when we ordered.   It was also very difficult to grab someone (anyone!) to order or even get more water.

Morals Hotpot location in Toronto was a first for the city. There were 600+ other locations in China. The cuisine style of this restaurant was hot with all you can eat menu option. There was also an additional a la carte menu for more expensive meat and seafood options. The food was good and presented very nicely.  I was very satisfied with the freshness of the ingredients that we ordered and it tasted great. My SO agreed as well (she rarely gives high praises for restaurants).

The only downside of this restaurant was the pricing for hotpot ($30 +tax for dinner). Additional soup bases cost additional money ($2+). Overall, the food was good but I cannot justify paying so much for bad service.

Would I come back? Probably not.
